How to Make Magician Fake Skin

Magicians must try to create illusions that startle and amaze their audience members. Modern magicians often use shocking tactics to get viewers engaged. Many pull creative stunts or seem to injure themselves, such as pulling needles through their skin without bleeding. They produce these types of illusions by creating a lifelike fake skin that sticks to the arm. Creating this fake skin requires only minor preparation and a few basic items.

Things You'll Need

Sponge
Liquid latex
Mirror
Blow dryer
Concealer

Instructions

  Soak up latex with the sponge and dab it onto the mirror lightly. Apply the latex evenly to the mirror surface without letting any bunch up.

  User a blow dryer to dry the latex to the mirror. Add another layer of latex with the sponge and dry it with the dryer again.

  Continue adding layers of latex until it is as thick as you desire. Make sure it isn't transparent before you finish and blow dry the last layer to dry it completely.

  Peel the latex off of the mirror carefully and as evenly as possible. Remove it slowly so that it doesn't rip or tear around any of the edges.

  Put a drop of liquid latex on your skin and spread it over the area where you will apply your fake skin. Let it dry and attach your dried latex skin to the liquid latex. Add concealer to the latex until it matches your skin tone.
