How to Wear New Journeys Badge on a Daisy Vest

Daisy Girl Scouts are the youngest group of Girl Scouts, consisting of kindergarten and 1st grade students. Daisies wear a bright blue vest or tunic to each meeting and for special Girl Scout events. The vest enables each Girl Scout to display her troop number, American flag, camping badges and personal achievement awards. The new Journey badge is a gardening award, so girls must complete a series of gardening activities to receive the badge. Once your Daisy Girl Scout has been given her award, apply it to her uniform so she can proudly display it at troop meetings.

Things You'll Need

• Daisy vest
• Journey insignia
• Iron
• Ironing board

     Lay your vest flat on an ironing board and place the insignia on your uniform. The Journey award should be on the right side of your vest in the bottom left corner.

     Warm up your iron. Place your iron directly over the patch and rub in a circular motion for a few minutes. Turn off the iron and examine the vest. The patch should feel warm, but be firmly attached to the vest.

     Hang your Daisy vest on a hanger to prevent wrinkles before you wear it again.
