Things You'll Need
Instructions
Draw the face on your pixel doll in the animation program. Use the "Pencil" drawing tool to draw the outline of the open eyes in the center of the head, a nose between and below the eyes and a mouth right below the nose. Create two curved lines above the eyes for eyebrows.
Fill in the color of the eyes and a black dot in the centers for the pupils. Add a color to the lips and any other details for the face, such as eyelashes. Save the doll as "Layer 1" in the program.
Click on the color you used for the skin of the doll and use the Pencil tool to color over one or both of the eyes, except for the bottom lash line. Save the this layer or frame of the graphic as "Layer 2." Stay on Layer 2 to continue editing it.
Choose the same color from the color palette that you used to color the lips of the doll and draw more height in the middle of her upper lip by three or four pixels. Do the same to the middle of the lower lip, and add more pixels lengthwise toward the chin. Erase the corners of her mouth by coloring over them with the same color as her skin to make her lips look pursed.
Go to "File" and then "Save As" to name the animated doll and save it with the .GIF file extension so that it retains the animated property.
