Instructions

  1. Hook Up

    • 1

Insert the power capacitor into the mount bracket, then slide the bracket into the channel on the back side of the ESC. Use a tie wrap to secure the capacitor to the side of the ESC.

    • 2

Connect the ESC to the Throttle Channel of your vehicle's receiver (it will be labeled THRO). Insert the battery connector of the ESC into the matching connector on a four to seven cell battery pack.

    • 3

Connect the two motor leads to the matching motor leads on the ESC. Match the colors (red and black) to establish connection between the motor and the ESC.

    Mount It

    • 4

Cut a short 1-inch-long section of double-sided tape, then peel one side of it and press it against the bottom of the ESC.

    • 5

Choose an ideal mounting location for the ESC, it should be as far away from the motor as possible. Also try to mount it in a location that prevents intersection between the connection wires (motor an battery) and the antennae. Peel the other side of the double-sided tape, the press the ESC firmly onto the vehicle's chassis.

    • 6

Slide the on/off switch of the ESC into the slide mount channel on the side of the ESC. Mount the switch in an easily accessible position. For example, if it is easiest to reach the switch when it's pointing up, mount it as such.

    Transmitter Adjustments

    • 7

Set High ATV or EPA to the maximum setting offered by your transmitter, then set the Low ATV/EPA/ATL to the maximum setting offered by your transmitter.

    • 8

Set the exponential to zero, then set the throttle channel rev. switch to either position. Set the throttle channel trim to idle, or its middle position.

    • 9

Set the electronic trigger throw adjustment to 70 percent throttle and 30 percent brake throw. Set the mechanical trigger throw adjustment to position with 2/3-throttle and 1/3-brake throw.

    Program It

    • 10

Turn on the transmitter's power, then press and hold the speed control's set button.

    • 11

Turn on the speed control's power while still holding down the set button. Continue to hold the set button until the red LED light is illuminated, then release the set button.

    • 12

Pull the transmitter throttle to full on position, then wait until the LED turns solid green. Push the transmitter throttle to full brakes, then wait until the status LED starts blinking green.

    • 13

Return transmitter to neutral throttle, the ESC's status LEDs will all illuminate solid with amber, green, and red colors. This indicates the ESC is properly programmed.
