How to Authenticate a Historic Document

You never know what kind of treasures you have lurking around among your keepsakes. If you have discovered a document that you suspect may have historical significance, the first thing you should do is have it analyzed by someone who can authenticate it. The person you are looking for to do this is a Questioned Document Examiner or a QDE. One way to find a QDE in your area is through the National Association of Document Examiners.
