Things You'll Need
Instructions
Wash your hands and your face thoroughly prior to removing a nose ring. If you have dirty hands or a dirty face, bacteria may come into contact with your piercing, causing the piercing to become infected. Makeup can also cause irritation in a nose piercing.
Use rubbing alcohol to sanitize a pair of tweezers. Small metal tweezers work best for removing a nose ring. Fill a small dish with rubbing alcohol and dip the tweezers in the alcohol.
Go to a well-lit room and use a small mirror if possible. In addition, it may be easier for you if a friend or family member can help you either hold the mirror or take off the back of the nose ring.
Grip the back of the nose ring with the tweezers and guide it off the nose ring. Some nose rings require you to twist a ball to remove the ring. If this is the case, slowly twist the ball until the back comes off. Depending on your nostril, it may help to hold the nostril with your other hand.
