How to Dry a Kinetronics Static Wisk Brush

Kinetronics manufactures products for cleaning delicate items that are anti-static. Static wisk brushes have bristles made of natural hair with a conductive fiber to remove small particles such as dust or hair from optical lenses on cameras, camcorders, telescopes, binoculars and computer screens without causing a static shock to the object. The brushes are available in sizes from 3/4 to 11 inches and include a protective storage case. Anti-static brushes draw particles into them so they sweep away easily. They can be washed and dried with little effort.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply two or three drops of baby shampoo onto the brush bristles. Hold the brush under running water and work the shampoo into a lather.

    • 2

Rinse the brush thoroughly under running water until the shampoo is removed and the water runs clear.

    • 3

Shake the brush to remove excess moisture. Wipe the brush on a dry towel.

    • 4

Lay the brush flat on a dry towel and comb through the bristles with a fine-tooth comb from the base of the bristles to the ends. This action separates the bristles. Let the brush air dry completely before storing it in the plastic protective case.
