Things You'll Need
Instructions
Locate the mounting rack on the rear of the pontoon. This is where you will mount the transducer bracket. Silicone is not necessary since you will make all the holes into the bracket and not the pontoon.
Place the transducer against the mounting bracket and mark the holes with a pencil. Use the portable drill and the 1/16-inch bit to drill pilot holes for the transducer.
Hold the transducer mounting bracket in place and use the portable drill and four-way screwdriver bit to screw the bracket in place with screws provided.
Insert the pivot transducer into the mounting bracket. Use the four-way screwdriver to tighten the transducer at a horizontal position.
Find a location in the console for the depth finder. Use the pencil to mark pilot holes for the bracket that will hold the depth finder.
Use the cordless drill and 1/16-inch drill bit to drill pilot holes in the console. Install the bracket with the screws provided using the portable drill and four-way screwdriver bit.
Route the transducer wire and the power supply wire through the pontoon and into the console. Use the zip ties to tie up any extra wire for neatness and to keep it out of the way.
Connect the transducer wire to transducer and Humminbird depth finder. Plug the power supply cable to the back of the depth finder, and connect to the battery with alligator clamps provided.
Slide the depth finder onto the mounting bracket. Turn on the Humminbird depth finder. The unit should make a loud chirp and the display should activate. If the depth finder fails to work, check all connections.
