Ensure that the Miller welder is properly configured for use. You must be sure the line disconnect switch is in the "On" position and check and replace the line fuses if they are open. You may also have to reset breakers if they have tripped.
Check to see if the fan is running when the welder is operational. If it is not, make sure nothing is blocking the movement of the fan. Remove any dust or debris which might be doing this, or if the fan does not move freely regardless of what you try, replace the fan motor.
Change the settings of the welder if you find you are suffering from erratic welding arcs and spatter. You should shorten the arc length and reduce the amperage setting so there is less power going to the welder.
Lubricate the shunt block if you are suffering from excessive vibration when you operate the machine. You may also need to tighten the adjustment screws if you are having this issue.
