Things You'll Need
Instructions
Mount a bullseye level on the floor of the motorhome near the front seat. The driver must see this level while sitting in the driver's seat. The bullseye design indicates front to back and side to side leveling.
Drive around the campsite slowly. Back up and turn the wheel slightly, waiting for the bubble indicator to settle closest to the middle of the bullseye. You want to start on the flattest ground possible.
Get out of the motorhome and walk around the wheels. If you see a high spot or a large pile of branches or sticks, use a shovel to dig a small indentation in the ground. Use the information from the bullseye level to give you an idea of which wheels need to be raised and which wheels need to be lowered.
Set the parking brake and place your wheel chocks in place to maintain the desired position. People with automatic leveling systems should use the automation at this point. They work best when only needed to fine-tune adjustments.
