Read the product description of your goggles. Make sure they have the range of 1,000 yards or more. If not, you will not be able to see that distance.
Turn your goggles on. Make sure you have proper power to the goggles. If you use batteries, make sure to have fresh batteries. If you charge the batteries, give them a full charge. This will maximize the effectiveness of your goggles.
Use a flat terrain. If you have mountains or other obstructions, such as trees, in your way you will not be able to see the full 1,000 yards. Find a clear path to allow vision of 1,000 yards or more. Turn the goggles on and look into them. You will be able to see that far as long as the device allows viewing to that distance.
