How to Use a Zebco Fish Finder ZF200

Through sonar technology, fish finders identify fish, rocks, vegetation, changes in water temperature, as well as other items located under water. It accomplishes this by sending sonar waves in a cone shape to the bottom of the water, which in turn, sends a signal back to the fish finder. A fishing equipment manufacturer since 1949, Zebco produces a wide range of fishing equipment and the company estimates that millions of people learn to fish every year using a Zebco product. The Zebco model ZF200 is an easy to use, portable, handheld, electronic fish finder.

Instructions

    • 1

Power the ZF200 by installing four triple-A batteries. This gives the Zebco ZF200 enough power for 30 hours of continuous use, and 60 hours when placed in the power-saver mode. When the batteries are installed, turn the unit on.

Place the sonar sensor into the water. The sensor can be dropped off a pier, bridge, or boat, as well as tossed into the water from the shore. A hull mounting bracket is available to mount the sonar sensor to your boat, or you can attach it to a weed guide to search heavily vegetated areas for fish. The Zebco ZF200 has the capability to read from 1.5 to 99.9 feet of water.

Set the fish finder up while the sonar sensor is submerged. The ZF200 has an easy, two-button control, one for the menu and the other for selection. Menu choices allow you to set preferences for: sensitivity settings, unit backlighting, fish alarm, power saver, fish icon display, weed and rock detection, as well as depth readings. Simply scroll down the menu and select by pushing the "Enter" key.

Pull in the 25-foot sonar sensor cord when finished, being sure to power the Zebco ZF200 off when no longer in use.
