Things You'll Need
Instructions
Reflect on the goals you would like to set in your life and determine which ones are long term and which, short.
Write a list separating your long term goals from your short term wishes to keep better track of what is achievable in a specific amount of time.
Set an amount of time you would like to complete each goal individually. Be realistic and take into consideration your personal life, daily work schedules and other plans or events that may cause interruptions to achieving your goals. Understanding setbacks ahead of time will help you plan and prepare properly, rather than face disappointment by not reaching a goal on time.
Write short term goals that you are currently working to achieve on sticky notes or note cards to place around your house on a refrigerator, bulletin board or a household mirror. This will keep you motivated and reminded of the current goals that need completion.
Cross off completed goals from your list and write the amount of time it took you from start to finish, allowing you to see if you reached your goal in time or if you reached it sooner than expected.
Keep your list of goals visible in your home office or in a busy place in your house. You will then have the opportunity to view it often, giving you motivation or ideas on how to conquer your next goal.
