Things You'll Need
Instructions
Ensure that the Clavinova is fully plugged in. Even if the Clavinova appears at first glance to be plugged in, it's possible that the cord could have been nudged and the adapter is too loosely plugged in. Look both at the port where you connect the adapter to the instrument and at the wall outlet.
Try plugging the Clavinova into a different outlet. It could be that there's a local electrical problem with the outlet you're using rather than with the Clavinova itself.
Change the batteries if your Clavinova runs on batteries rather than on an adapter. Naturally, if the batteries are out, the Clavinova will not turn on.
Move your mobile phone or other mobile device away from the Clavinova if you are hearing buzzing sounds from the speakers. Some types of devices may cause interference with certain models.
Adjust the volume level. If the Clavinova isn't making sounds, it's possible that your child or pet might have been playing with or jumped on the Clavinova and one or more of the volume controls might have been nudged down to zero.
Leaf through the user manual for the specific model of Clavinova that you own. User manuals for many devices contain a few pages dedicated to troubleshooting.
Contact the technical support hotline for your Clavinova, using the phone number from the user manual or from the warranty papers if the Clavinova is still under warranty. The technical support staff should be able to offer suggestions specific to the model you own or guidance for how to have the Clavinova repaired if you're unable to solve the problem yourself.
