In Depth Explanation of How to Make a Balloon Lock Twist

The balloon twist lock is one of the easiest twists when creating balloon animals yet also the most important because of how often it is used. When done successfully, this twist will keep the sections of the balloon together so the arms, legs and head of an animal don't come undone. If the lock twist is not done properly on a balloon animal, the whole structure will fall apart.

Instructions

    • 1

Twist the end of your balloon so it forms a bubble. Place your pinky on the twisted part of the balloon so it doesn't come undone.

    • 2

Twist the part of the balloon directly after the first bubble to form a second bubble.

    • 3

Fold the balloon down so you have two bubbles on the left side and a plain balloon without any bubbles on the right side.

    • 4

Create a bubble on the right side of the balloon so you have four bubbles that are parallel with each other.

    • 5

Place your hand on the two upper bubbles and twist them together at least five times. When you remove your hand, the balloons will be locked together.
