Instructions
Put your circuit on a table. The circuit will typically contain a battery, light bulb and a switch wired together. Turn on the switch and the light bulb illuminates; turn off the switch and the light goes out.
Ask your child to copy the circuit layout onto a piece of paper using a pen. For example, ask your child to draw a rough outline of a battery, light bulb and switch. Draw lines connecting the three items the same as the circuit.
Ask your child to write the names of the three items he has drawn under the drawings. Check the spelling and correct if necessary.
Get your child to write the number of items in the circuit and on the diagram. Ask your child to count the number of wires that connect the items together. Add up all the items and check if the diagram and the circuit add up to the same numbers.
