Games to Play on a 4-Wheeler

Playing games on a four-wheeler offers the opportunity for riders to show off their skills and compete with other riders. Some games are designed especially for four-wheelers, while others are variants of games or sports that have been altered to be played by four-wheeler riders. Competitors compete both individually and as teams in four-wheeler games.
  1. Individual Races

    • Competitors race against each other on four-wheeler courses, or open areas with just a start and finish line. The course might have obstacles such as jumps or ponds of water to drive through; after all, a little bit of dirt never hurt anyone and is part of the fun of riding a four-wheeler. Racers compete at the same time or take turns running the course to see which rider has the quickest time completing the course.

    Team Races

    • Four-wheeler games aren't just for individuals. They are fun for groups of friends to compete in at the same time. Divide your group of friends into two teams, giving each team the same colored shirts to identify them. In the race, the winning team is the one that has one of its riders finish the course first. Teammates try to hinder riders from other teams by riding slowly in front of them or bumping them to keep them from finishing the course. Another variation of these races is where the winning team is the first to have all of its racers reach the finish line.

    Capture The Flag

    • The capture the flag game played on four-wheelers is best played on either a large open field or a heavily wooded area with trails for off-road vehicles. The playing area is divided into two halves and players split into two teams. Each team hides its own flag somewhere on its side of the playing area. The goal is for each team to find the opposing team's flag, pick it up and return it to an area on its own side, determined before the game to be its base. The opposing team tries to block its opponents from finding the flag and then hinder the four-wheeler driver's return to his base once he has the flag. First team to return to its base with the other team's flag wins.

    Four-Wheeler Polo

    • In four-wheeler polo, there are no horses used -- players ride on their four-wheelers. Instead of using croquet mallets to hit a ball, players pass a large playground ball such as a rubber kickball, approximately 12 inches in diameter. Players throw the ball to each other while riding on their four-wheelers on a field with goals at each end. The goal is to throw the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team that scores the most goals during a set amount of time wins the game. Play this game on an open field or a wooded four-wheeler course to make the playing field unique.
