Instructions
Use the screwdriver to loosen the three screws from the transmission dust cover. Remove the cover to access the gears inside.
Use the hex wrench to loosen the pinion gear from the motor shaft. It is located on the side of the gear. Turn it a half turn, then slide the gear off the motor. Repeat this process with both motors (remove both pinion gears).
Use the screwdriver to loosen the two screws that secure each motor in position. Pull the motors out the back end of the transmission housing, then disconnect the two wires -- red (positive) and black (negative) -- connecting the motors to the Electronic Speed Control (ESC).
Slide each velineon motor into one of the two motor housings, then use the two screws to hold them in position (do not completely tighten the screws yet).
Slide the pinion gears onto both motors, then use the hex wrench to secure them with the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts completely.
Move the motors positioning to mesh their pinion gears with the adjacent spur gear (found between the motors). Tighten the mounting bolts.
Place the dust cover back onto the transmission housing, then tighten the three mounting screws.
