How to Use Crumpler Straps

A crumpler strap is an ergonomic strap that's meant to mold to the shape of your neck or shoulder while supporting the weight of the bag or equipment that you're carrying. Comfortable and padded, a crumpler strap is supposed to eliminate the stress and strain associated with hauling around heavy camera equipment and other large packs. Fortunately using one is relatively simple.

  Adjust the right side of the crumpler strap. Push the spare strap in from the sling side and pull it out the other side to shorten the strap, and push the strap the other direction to lengthen it out again.

  Adjust the left side strap. The adjustment process is exactly the same. The straps don't have to be equal length, but that tends to be the most comfortable way to wear the strap, especially if it's sitting across the back of the neck.

  Put the crumpler strap on. It can be worn across the shoulder in a single shoulder carry, across the body or around the neck. Choose the most comfortable carrying position and make sure that you like the strap fits. Once it fits, the strap is adjusted and ready to be worn.
