How to Do a Rolling Burnout

When executing a rolling burnout, a biker will lean forward, placing his weight on the front while spinning the back tire. The spinning tire will cause a plume of white smoke to billow up, while leaving black rubber skid marks on the road or track. The practice is considered anti-social and is bad for both bike and tire, but many bikers like to display their skills by performing this daring feat. Practice caution as this trick can result in an accident that could cause personal injury and damage to your bike.

Instructions

    • 1

Slow down to a speed of no more than 5 mph and stand up on the motorcycle pegs.

    • 2

Engage the clutch and increase the throttle until the revs get up to 50 bhp.

    • 3

At the same time as you engage the clutch, pull the front brake and shift your weight forward onto the front wheel.

    • 4

Drop the clutch when the revs have reached an appropriate level. The back tire will break traction and spin freely. Keep your body tense and your weight over the front wheel.

    • 5

Slowly release the front brake to move forward. Keep the revs up and control your speed with the front brake.

    • 6

Change the gear up. Very quickly engage the clutch, rev the engine and change gears, then release the clutch again. Do not allow the rear tire to stop spinning and gain traction.
