Instructions

    • 1

Position a 3/0 hook's point in the center of the Brush Hog lure. The weight of the line and the size of the Brush Hog will also determine what hook size is used, making the hook size changeable. If the hook overpowers the Brush Hog, downsize the hook.

    • 2

Run the hog with 12 lb. line if you use the soft Baby Brush Hog creature bait. However, if you are using a larger Brush Hog, a heavier line is suggested.

Screw in 5/16 oz. bullet weights. These well keep the lure's head down to avoid snags. Some anglers prefer to fish without the weights and to skip the lure across the top of the water or directly beneath the surface. Many anglers have found success with the weightless technique.
