How to Install a Moisture Trap

A moisture trap is a device located between an airbrush and an air compressor, used to filter out moisture from the air so that moisture does not get into the airbrush and damage the paint. This is especially helpful in locations that are prone to high amounts of humidity. A variety of types of moisture traps are available, including those that are combined with a regulator and filter.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach one end of an air hose to the air compressor using a quick disconnect adapter and the other end into the moisture trap using an included fitting.

    • 2

Connect the end of another hose to the other end of the moisture trap with the other provided fitting.

    • 3

Run the second hose to the airbrush and connect it using a quick disconnect adapter.

    • 4

Inspect your moisture trap often for debris or rust, which can cause the trap to become ineffective. Replace the moisture trap if any of these signs are present.
