Drop the yo-yo from your dominant hand (assume it is the right hand) and allow it to sleep. Make sure the string is fully extended.
Start the trick by running your left index finger three-quarters of the way down the string. Raise the string with your left index finger to chest-height and allow the yo-yo to dangle slightly below your knuckles. This position is known as a skin the cat mount.
Thread the string down into the yo-yo groove with your right hand (hand with slipknot). At this point the string should be completely vertical, with the yo-yo spinning somewhere near the middle.
Bring the right hand up, wrapping the string around the yo-yo groove to the back side.
Insert your right index finger into the lower half of loop you have created.
Run your right index finger down the string that makes up the back part of the loop. Move it in an underpass manner to cause the yo-yo to hop over your finger and onto the string where your finger just left. Raising the string with your left arm as you do the underpasses will help create momentum for the jump across the string.
Repeat the previous steps in a rapid fashion to make the yo-yo appear as if it is rolling smoothly from one string to another. A swift and clean underpass motion with your right index finger is the key in succeeding with this trick.
