Instructions
Use the supplied double-sided foam to mount the gyro on a rigid surface of the model helicopter. Position the gyro so that it is perpendicular to the main rotor shaft and ensure that the gyro has adequate ventilation.
Connect the cord on the bottom right side of the gyro to the rudder servo unit on the helicopter using the attached connection plug, then connect the bottom left cord to the receiver. When connecting to the receiver, plug the black and white connectors to the corresponding slots on the receiver.
Turn the "Power" switch on the transmitter to the "On" position and use the rudder dial to set the rudder "Subtrim" to "0." Then turn the "Power" switch on the gyro to the "On" position. The LED light will flash as the gyro proceeds through an initializing process. When the process is complete, the LED will show a steady light.
Use the corresponding dials on the transmitter to set the "ATS," "Pilot Authority Mixing," "Throttle to Rudder Mixing," "Rudder to Gyro Mixing," "Pitch to Rudder Mixing" and "Revolution Mixing" settings to "O."
Set the transmitter "Gain" to "Normal" mode and perform a test flight to confirm proper settings. If problems occur, move the rudder stick on the transmitter to the left to check for rudder function, noting if the corresponding control arm on the helicopter moves forward or back. Then move the nose of the helicopter to the left. If set correctly, the stick should move in the same direction as the nose. If it does not, move the "Reversing" switch on the gyro to the opposite side.
