Instructions
Sit down on the floor and straddle your legs by opening them as far as they can comfortably go. Lean to one side and lower your chest as close to your leg as you can comfortably go. Lift your torso back toward the center and repeat the stretch on the opposite side.
Lift both of your legs up while seated in the straddle position. This exercise helps to strengthen your leg muscles and better prepare them for the toe touch. Do this exercise in five sets of 10 repetitions.
Stand up and prepare to jump up in the air. Straighten your legs and then bend your knees before you jump into the air.
Extend both legs up and out as you jump into the air. Your legs should resemble a "V."
Point your toes and extend your arms over your legs. Reach toward your toes. Land black on the floor with your feet together and your legs slightly bent to absorb the shock. Land on the balls of your feet to ensure a safe landing.
