Instructions
Open one of the eye bolts with a pair of pliers so that the end of the curved piece is about one-half inch away from the straight stem.
Slide the other two eye bolts onto the opened eye bolt. Slip the leftmost link in the chain link onto the open eye bolt. Close the eye bolt with a hammer so that there is no opening between the stem and the rounded piece.
Slide each eye bolt into one end of the three sections of conduit aluminum pipe. Stand up the pipes in the shape of a tepee. Allow the chain to hang down freely in the middle of the pipes.
Attach an s-hook to the top of the chain, about four links down from the apex of the conduit pipes. Use a pair of pliers to shut the s-hook tight, so that it is secured to the chain link.
Set a large cook pot on the ground with the handle extended upward. Locate the spot on the chain link where it intersects with the apex of the handle. Cut the chain at this spot with a pair of wire cutters.
Insert a second s-hook into the chain link at this spot and fasten the end down tight with a pair of pliers so that the s-hook is securely attached to the chain link.
Attach a cook pot, coffee pot or other cookware to the bottom s-hook. Adjust the position of the cook pot by doubling over chain link at the top of the tripod onto the top s-hook until you reach the desired distance between the bottom of the pot and the ground.
Remove the pot from the bottom s-hook and fold up the tripod for easy storage and transport until you are ready to use it.
