Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean off your piano if you currently have decorations, clothing or dust covering the top. You will get a better view of the room once you thoroughly clean and get organized.
Brainstorm a desired theme you would like to incorporate into the room with your piano. Some themes may include a "seaside" theme, which includes using ocean-themed colors like blue or turquoise and decorations such as lighthouses, seashells and sea animals. Another possibility is a "Tuscan" theme, which includes browns, oranges and yellows along with sunflowers and rustic decorations. Choosing a theme before decorating the top of your piano will help with deciding on a specific color scheme for the setup.
Create a fake flower bouquet using a glass vase, assorted fake flowers, marbles and sand to fill the body. Mix and match marbles and sand to fit your room's colors while also complementing the kind of flowers you display. Place the bouquet on top of the piano.
Add some picture frames on top of your piano to match the wood or material of the piano's base. Rather than using traditional photos, add miniature prints of your favorite song written on sheet music to place within the frames.
Place candles within glass holders on top of your piano to avoid spilling wax. Keep candles short and sturdy on top of the piano to keep the candles from falling over or spilling onto the keys.
Organize a collection of yours on top of the piano, such as crystal, miniature figurines and other household knick-knacks.
