How to Install a Sunbrella Top

Sunbrella makes many types of products for various applications. One use for a Sunbrella top is as a rain curtain for your golf cart, by attaching the vinyl cover to the roof. To do this you need to install the hardware that is used to secure the rain curtain to the golf cart. Sunbrella tops are available for specific models of golf carts.

Things You'll Need

Sunbrella rain cover
Power drill
Sheet-metal screws

Instructions

  Position one of the tracks for the rain curtain along the inside edge of the golf cart top. Mark the screw holes with the felt-tip marker. Drill a hole for the screws on each mark with the power drill.

  Align the holes in the track with the holes in the golf cart top. Insert sheet-metal screws into each hole and tighten them with the power drill. You can also use a Phillips-head screwdriver.

  Repeat this process on the other side of the golf cart top.

  Slide the curtain onto the track and extend it. Pull the curtain down toward the bottom of the cart. Mark the location of the snaps with the felt-tip marker.

  Place the tip of the male part of the snap on the mark and secure it to the cart with the power drill.

  Attach the female part of the snap on the curtain to the male part on the bottom of the golf cart.
