How to Make Composite Photos for Pageants

Composite or collage photos are individual single prints that are made up of multiple smaller images. When completed, these composite pictures can be used by models or individuals who are entering into pageantry as an easy way to display pictures from past photo shoots on one page. A composite can be made in most photo editing programs or word processing programs that allow you to add pictures. A photo editing program may be easier since it is designed to work with image files.

Instructions

  Review and select the pictures you want to include in the composite. Move or copy these pictures to different folder on your computer; this will make it easier to locate the pictures when you start to build the composite.

  Click ̶0;File̶1; and select ̶0;New̶1; and click ̶0;OK̶1; to create the new blank page to work with. Click on ̶0;Image̶1; or ̶0;Margin̶1; and set the parameters for the size of the composite.

  Click ̶0;File̶1; and select ̶0;Place̶1; or ̶0;Insert̶1; and use your cursor to navigate to the folder containing the images you want to place into the composite picture. Highlight the file and click ̶0;OK̶1; and the picture will appear on the page.

  Click the image and hold the button, drag your cursor to move the picture to the location you want to place it on the page. Release the cursor and the image will drop into place. Click the image and a box will appear with tabs on the corners and sides. Click, hold and move the cursor in towards the middle to shrink the picture, or away from the picture to increase its size. Adjust the picture size to your liking and release the cursor when done.

  Repeat these steps for the remaining pictures you want to add to your composite until it is complete. Click ̶0;File̶1; and select ̶0;Save As.̶1; Give your image a name and save it to your computer̵7;s hard drive.
