Setting Up a Photo Booth at a Wedding

Photo booths are often set up at weddings to allow people to create fun and interesting pictures of themselves. You can usually find photo booths in shopping malls around the country. Rather than wheeling in a larger bulky structure into your reception hall, you can simply set up a photo booth in a corner of the hall and encourage your guests to use it throughout the course of the night.

Instructions

    • 1

Pick a corner in the reception hall that is away from any doors or walkways that the waiting staff needs to use.

    • 2

Hang a backdrop using a backdrop stand or long coat rack if you do not have a backdrop stand. If the wall is a solid color you can simply use the wall as the background.

    • 3

Place a bench two to three feet in front of the wall. Install new batteries and an empty memory card into a point-and-shoot digital camera. Attach the camera to a tripod and place the tripod three to four feet in front of the bench. Temporarily secure the tripod to the floor using duct or gaffers tape.

    • 4

Place a box of props that your guests can use in the pictures. The props can be funny hats, larger picture frames, scarves, boas, umbrellas and other similar items.

    • 5

Encourage your guests to use the photo booth throughout the evening. Ensure you have additional camera batteries and memory cards for the camera.
