Things You'll Need
Instructions
Hang a white backdrop in your studio. When shooting a high-fashion photo spread, a white background is often used to minimize distractions from the model and the clothes the model is wearing.
Position a studio strobe on both sides of the white background. Position the light so it pointed toward the backdrop. Turn the power to full and turn the lights on.
Determine the position in which the model will be standing and position studio lights with softboxes attached at 45-degree angles from where the model will be standing on either side. Raise the lights so they angle down slightly toward the model. Set the power on these lights to half power and turn them on.
Meter the scene off of the model and set the exposure to be overexposed by half of a stop. This will give your picture a high-key exposure, which is used in high-fashion photography.
