With Friends
If your son or daughter goes to daycare or plays with a regular group of friends, getting the children together is a good way to create interesting photographic moments. Adding toys to the mix is another fun way to generate photo ideas.
Playground
With the assistance of an adult or older sibling, letting your toddler play on slides or in appropriate swings creates good opportunities for photos. If you toddler is in a swing, set the shutter speed to 1/60th of a second and pan the camera while following your toddler swinging back and forth. This creates a photo where the toddler is in focus and the background is blurred.
Wading Pool
Have your toddler play in wading pool outside; summer fun photo opportunities are abundant. Bright colors of the pool and splashing water are a good combination for photos. Keep your toddler in an approved personal floatation device that prevents the child from slipping under the water. Add toys such as small rubber ducks or other floating toys to add to the fun.
Winter Pictures
From playing in the snow to sledding down a hill, outdoor winter photos will create memories. Remember to slightly overexpose your camera to compensate for the reflection of sunlight off the snow.
