Things You'll Need
Instructions
Collect all available photos of your or your firm's body of work. If you do not have images of completed buildings, visit each building and photograph it from several angles. Photograph each building during late afternoon when the sun is low to accentuate the structure's architecture If necessary, have the photos enlarged to an 8-by-10-inch print.
Sift through the photographs with a fellow architect or co-worker at your firm, and select two photos of each building. One of the images you select should show the outside of the building in its entirety. The second should show part of the building's interior.
Arrange the photographs. While some people prefer to arrange their portfolio photos chronologically, other people arrange the photos by building location, architectural style or size.
Place the prints on each page of an art portfolio using a glue stick. Allow the glue to dry completely before turning to the next page of the art portfolio.
Write a caption for each building either on a computer or by hand, and tape the caption under each group of photographs. Include a building's name in the caption if applicable, its location, start and completion date, and approximate size in square feet.
Include a short statement about your objective as an architect or a brief history of your construction firm at the beginning of the portfolio. It will add context and merit to the work that follows in the body of the portfolio.
