Turn your camera on and select one of the automatic shooting modes. These modes are shutter priority, aperture priority and program. In these shooting modes, the photographer has control over the exposure and they are a good way to see how changes in aperture or shutter settings affect exposure.
Select simple shooting scenes that are also interesting. A trip to a zoo or attending a car show will give new photographers a number of different subjects to shoot. By selecting easy-to-shoot subjects, good results should happen right away that will keep everyone interested in looking for more pictures at the same event.
Share your success with other photographers either in a group or in an online photo community. Sharing your work and seeing how others are shooting similar subjects is not only a good way to increase your knowledge, but it is a fun way to meet other photographers and learn from one another.
