Things You'll Need
Instructions
Lay a piece of white poster board on a kitchen table or on the floor. The poster board will act as your background giving you a border to work within. The poster board can be any color. You can decide whether you want any of the poster board to be visible around the edges. You can also add text to the center of the poster board identifying the subject of the collage if you choose.
Assemble all the printed pictures you want to use for your collage. They can all be the same size, or they can vary. Color or black and white images can be used. There are no rules to follow, only your overall objective for the project.
Position the printed pictures on the poster board. When laying the photos over top of each other, make sure the subject of the individual photo is clearly visible. Since no glue or adhesive is being used you can reposition the pictures as many times as you like until you have it just right.
Attach your digital camera to a tripod and position the tripod directly above the collage. Adjust the zoom position on the lens until the poster board collage fills the viewfinder. Take a picture of your collage. If you do not have tripod, you can hold the camera by hand. Just make sure the shutter speed is above 1/125th of a second and hold the camera as still as possible to minimize camera shake.
