Open the photograph you want edit in Photoshop. Make a duplicate layer by clicking the "Layer" menu then clicking "Duplicate Layer." A pop-up menu will appear. Give the new layer a name and click "OK." In the "Layers" box on the right side of your screen, click on the duplicate layer to select it.
Click the "Filter" menu then select "Sharpen." Click on "Sharpen" again.
Click on the "Filter" menu again and scroll down to "Render," and then select "Clouds." Point your mouse to the "Layers" box on the right hand side of your screen. Make sure that the background copy is still selected and change the "Opacity" to 25 percent using the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner of the box.
Click on "Layer" then scroll to "New Fill Layer" and click on "Solid Color." Click "OK" in the dialog box that will appear. Select a navy blue color and click "OK." Point your mouse back to the "Layers" box and use the drop-down menu to set the mode to "Exclusion." Keep your opacity setting at 100 percent.
Click on "Layer" and then scroll to "New Fill Layer" and click on "Solid Color." Click "OK" in the dialog box that will appear. Select a yellow color and click "OK." Point your mouse back to the "Layers" box and use the drop-down menu to set the mode to "Overlay" and change the "Opacity" to 50 percent.
Click on "Layer" and then scroll to "New Fill Layer" and click on "Solid Color." Click "OK" in the dialog box that will appear. Select a brown color and click "OK." Point your mouse back to the "Layers" box and use the drop-down menu to set the mode to "Multiply" and change your opacity setting to 50 percent.
Select the "Background" layer in the "Layers" box on the right side of your screen. Click on the "Layers" menu and then click on "Duplicate Layer." Name the new layer and click okay. Select the "Layers" menu again and scroll down to "Arrange." Click on "Bring to Front."
Click on the "Layer Mode" drop-down menu in the "Layer" box on the right side of the screen. Change the mode to "Overlay" and drop the "Opacity" to 80 percent.
Select the "Layers" menu and scroll down to "Flatten Image." Save your file by selecting the "File" menu and clicking "Save."
