How to Draw a Line Around a Person in a Picture

Computer programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, allow users to digitally draw a line around a person in a photo. The photo can be scanned into the computer using a flatbed scanner or downloaded from a digital camera or cell phone.

  Open the Adobe Photoshop computer software program.

  Click "File", then "Open" from the drop down menu. Select the photo of the person and click "OK". The photo should appear on the screen.

  Right click the mouse on the "Paintbrush" tool located on the floating toolbar and select the "Pencil" tool from the drop down menu. Adjust the intensity and opacity levels of the pencil, which are located across the top of the screen.

  Use the mouse to draw a pencil line around the person in the photo.

  Click "File" and select "Save As" from the drop down menu. Name the edited photo and save it as a JPG.
