Backwards Chair, Square to Photographer
Place a chair with an open back square to the photographer's shooting position. Turn the chair so the back is at the front. Have the model sit and straddle the chair. This is not a new pose, but work with the model positioning her hands in different positions, first extended straight out towards the photographer, then resting model's head in her hands and finally with the arms crossed across the top of the back of the chair. While the chair is in this position, have the model kneel with one knee on the chair and the other foot on the ground. Continue to explore different poses with the chair in this position.
Sideways Chair
Begin by having the photographer kneel with one knee on the chair and her opposite foot on the floor. Move the model so she is standing with one foot on the chair the second on the floor. Move the model to the other side of the chair and have her stand and carefully lean against the chair. Photograph the model in the various positions.
Sitting on Top of Chair
Keep the chair positioned sideways and have the model sit on top of the back of the chair with her feet on the seat of the chair. Change the model's hands, head position and facial expression to create a number of different images from this simple change.
Chair Facing Photographer
Have the model sit in the chair traditionally. Work with the model, moving one leg up to the seat of the chair and having her head rest on her knee. Cross one leg over the next and have model change the position of her hands, first resting on her knees then in her lap.
