How to Combine Vertical Images Into One Horizontal

Combining pictures to create a single image is referred to as stitching. There are a number of free, photo editing programs, and ones you can purchase, where you can combine a number of vertical pictures into one large horizontal picture. When planning for this type of image, it is important to encompass the entire scene you are shooting, and at the same time produce images that can be merged together successfully.

Instructions

  Turn your home computer on and open up a photo-stitch or photo-merge program. If you do not have this program on your computer, you can download your choice of free or for-purchase programs online.

  Open the vertical images that you want to stitch together. The programs that complete this function will either have you open the pictures in a specific order, or just open up the pictures and the program will stitch them together automatically.

  Click "File" in the navigation bar and select "Stitch" "Merge" or "Start," and the program will sort the images and stitch them to create the single horizontal image.

  Click "File" and select "Save as" from the drop-down menu. Give your stitched photo a title or name, and save the image to your computers hard drive.
