Instructions
Position the control box close to where the camera will be positioned during the shoot. This allows for easy access for the photographer, and a short distance for the sync cord to be run.
Attach the four light heads to light stands and insert studio umbrellas into their holders. On the back of each of light heads will be a three-way on/off switch that controls the strobe and modelling light, as well as a power switch that will allow to choose between full power and half power. Set this switch to full on one light and half on the other three. The light set to full will be your main light.
Position the four lights to effectively illuminate the subject you are photographing. With a four-light system, generally two are used for the background and the other two (one being the main light) are used on the subject.
Run the cables from the light heads back to the control box. With the control box turned off, insert the four cables into the four large round plugs located on the top of the control box. Insert the sync cord and attach the other end of the sync cord to the camera. Turn the control box on. You are now ready to start taking pictures.
