Things You'll Need
Instructions
Prepare your slides for scanning by cleaning them with an anti-static cloth. This cloth will remove dust and debris from the slide and help prevent dust from collecting on the slide during the scanning process.
Scan your slides using a film or flatbed scanner. If using a flatbed scanner, set the resolution to 72dpi. Flatbed scanners are less expensive than film scanners and work well in this capacity.
Open Adobe Photoshop or GIMP on your home computer. Click "File" and select "Process Multiple Files." This feature allows you to process a large number of files at the same time and is good solution for adding a watermark to images.
Select the folder containing the scanned slides, and create a folder where the new images will be saved. Since these are scans for the Web, you can select to "Overwrite source" that will save the images back to the folder they came from.
On the right side of the window click "Labels" and select "Watermark" in the drop down menu. Type "Copyrighted Image" in the "Custom Text" field, select the position for the watermark, select the font, size, opacity and color for the text. Click "Ok" in the bottom right of the window and the program will open each file, add the watermark and save it.
