Instructions
Isolate your subject from a background by getting close to the subject. This will prevent other distractions from appearing in your photo. Use a macro close-up accessory lens or a macro lens to capture the image at a close range. These types of lenses have magnifying features, making the subject appear life-sized.
Get down to eye level to isolate your subject from the background. Stay at least six feet from the subject, while stooping slightly below the subject to eliminate other low distractions.
Separate the subject from the background by using the contrast feature on your camera. For example, if you are taking a picture of a dark subject, you would use a light background to create a sharper image.
Fill the frame of your camera lens with the subject before taking the picture. This will not only isolate your subject from the background, but also produce a sharper, clearer image.
