Things You'll Need
Instructions
During the Photo Shoot
Use a soft, external light source when photographing your subject. If shooting indoors, position your model next to an open window or use diffused light from a lamp. Avoid using direct flash, as this usually creates a harsh white glare in the resulting picture.
Thread a polarizing filter onto your lens. These filters reduce the effects of glare and reflection in your picture. If you are shooting in manual mode, increase your exposure compensation by one to two stops.
Shoot from an angle. Photographing a subject head-on invites opaque glare into the picture. Instead, position yourself at a 45-degree angle to your subject. Also try shooting from above or below.
After the Photo Shoot
Run your favorite image editing software and open your image.
Click the Selection tool from the software's toolbar, usually located to the right or left of the screen. The Selection tool icon is a rectangle with a dashed border.
Drag your mouse over the parts of the eyeglass lenses affected by glare. To make a more accurate selection, click View > Zoom In to enlarge your image.
Choose Layers from the software's top menu. Mouse over Create Adjustment Layer and select Levels from the menu that appears. An adjustment bar with a sliding marker will allow you to change the opacity of the glare. Click and drag the marker toward the right side of the bar until the glare begins to dissipate.
Click Layers once again and select Flatten Image from the drop-down menu that appears. Save your image once the layers you created in Step 4 have been merged.
