Backlit Pictures
Putting hinges onto your picture frames and forming them into a triangle can be one way to use your pictures as a centerpiece. Place hinges onto a row of three identical picture frames and lay them out in a line with the front of the frame against the table. Remove the back piece of card stock. Print the pictures you want to display onto vellum using an ink jet printer. Cut them to fit inside the frame and tape the pictures into the frame. Use another hinge to secure the frames into a triangle and place a candle in a glass holder into the center of the triangle to backlight the photos.
Photo Tree
A photo tree allows you to display a large amount of pictures in a uniform way. Cut a variety of metal wires into varying sizes. Wrap the wires in brown or green florist tape to appear to be twigs. Twist and bend the wires into interesting configurations. Group the wires together at the base and wrap around them with the florist tape to form a trunk. Smaller wallet-sized pictures are then glued or taped randomly onto the branches. Place your makeshift tree into an oblong metal bowl filled with berries and place it on your table.
CD Jewel Cases
You can recycle CD jewel cases while creating a lovely photo centerpiece. Start by removing the piece that holds the CD into the case. Print four pictures onto vellum paper and place them into the picture holders on the CD case. Place one CD case flat on the table, and glue an open CD case vertically around two edges of the case. Another CD case is used on the other two sides to form a square on top of the base. Use a brightly colored ribbon to disguise the seams on the corners and around the top of the cases. Place a tea light inside the center hole and light it to highlight the pictures. For a centerpiece, glue three of these cubes together and place them on a large piece of mirror tile.
Collages
Clear plastic sheeting can be used to create an interesting photo collage that will draw attention to the colorful pictures. Cut four pieces of plastic sheeting into equal lengths and mark a line in the sheeting 1 inch from the bottom of the sheeting. Heat along this line with a heat gun until the sheeting is malleable enough to bend into a 90 degree angle. Create a collage with water-diluted white glue and your favorite pictures. Once the glue has dried, glue the angled plastic pieces together in a square and disguise the seams with ribbon.
