How to Copy Photos to CD to Watch on TV

Digital technology has not only changed the photographs are taken and stored, it has also changed the way those pictures can be viewed. Once a digital camera's internal memory disc or removable memory card is full of pictures, download them to your home computer to view and edit them. Another way to view your digital pictures is to create a picture CD and view them on your home television.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the memory card from your digital camera, insert the card into your computer's card reader or use an external card reader connected to your home computer. Download the pictures contained on the card to your photo's folder on the computer's hard drive.

    • 2

Open the folder containing the pictures and quickly view the pictures to make sure the vertical shots are in the correct vertical position. Some digital cameras will automatically rotate vertical pictures into that position. If your camera does not automatically do this, click the photos that need to be rotated and rotate them clockwise or counterclockwise to the correct position.

    • 3

Open the CD burner drive on your computer and insert a blank CD. Close the burner drive and wait a moment for your computer to acknowledge the blank CD.

    • 4

Right click the folder containing the pictures you just downloaded and select "Send to" from the drop-down menu. Click the drive identification for the CD burner drive and click "OK" in the bottom right of the window.

    • 5

Remove the CD from your home computer and insert the CD into a DVD player that is connected to your television. Turn the television on and select DVD player as the input source on your television.

    • 6

Press the Play button on the DVD player, and your pictures will start to appear on your television.
