Upload the photos from your digital camera into your computer. Name the file, save it and open it once the upload is complete. Use a USB cord attached to your camera and to the USB port of the computer, or remove the camera's memory card and insert it into the computer to upload the photos.
Open the "Start" menu of your computer and choose "My Pictures." Find the photo you want to customize first, then right-click on the photo and select "Windows Office Picture Manager," a program for viewing and editing photos that comes installed in most new computers that have Windows operating systems. Click on the "Edit photo" tab at the top of the screen to begin customizing.
Click on the option to crop the photo. Crop the picture to the size you wish it to be. Adjust the square by clicking on it's corner and enlarging or reducing the size. Trim edges off from photos, taking some of the top, bottom or sides off of the photo to eliminate background objects, extra people, etc. Center the cropping square on the main subject of the photograph. Click "OK" when finished. Look for the "Zoom" option at the bottom of the page and adjust the photo by enlarging it or by decreasing the size.
Click the "Brightness and contrast" link. Adjust the brightness, then click "OK." Select the link below that one to adjust the color. Click on "Remove red eye" when done adjusting the brightness and color. Do this to prevent red eye corrections from looking unnatural once the brightness and color have been adjusted.
Open the "File" menu and click "Save" to save the photo. Do this to permanently save all of the changes you made to customize the photo.
Print the photo when you are done and allow the ink to fully dry before framing. Get an extra large frame and add a matte for custom framing of your customized photo.
