Things You'll Need
Instructions
Find an album that not only has room for your photos and mementos, but also space where you can write captions. An album of archival quality or made with acid-free paper is preferred. These can be found at most craft stores.
Put your photos in order. Many people prefer to keep their photos in chronological order, but you may choose to group them by special events or places. Lay all photos out in the order you want them to appear in your album.
Place photos in the album. Some albums have slide-in plastic windows, while others have photo corners that attach with glue. Whichever way you attach your photos, be sure they're held in the book securely.
Identify the people, places, things and dates in the photos. Begin by identifying the event or place where the photo was taken and, if known, the date. Follow this with the people in the photo, including first and last names, and ages, if known. Include any other details --- such as the activity pictured --- that is relevant to the photo.
Carefully write all photo information into the album with your pen or marker. Be sure to write the information in a location close to the picture so there is no confusion about which photo the caption describes when looking through the album at a later date.
