Making a Photo Album Cover

For the most part, photo albums come with pretty standard if not boring covers. If you are someone who takes a lot of pictures and saves them in photo albums to remember special events or trips, then you can create special album covers that will reflect the pictures contained inside of the album. Not only will the album cover be more personal, it will also be a good way to identify the trip or special event.

Instructions

    • 1

Print a few additional pictures from the photos contained inside the photo album.

    • 2

Choose a theme or design for your photo album cover. You may want to create a mosaic made up of many different pictures and arrange them on the front and back of the album cover.

    • 3

Cut construction paper to fit over the front and back cover of your photo album.

    • 4

Lay the photos you are using in your photo mosaic out on the construction paper. Do not glue them yet; move them around and try different pictures until you find a design you like.

    • 5

Cut the photos with scissors so they fit into the mosaic design you laid out in the previous step. Repeat the same process on the back cover of the photo album.

    • 6

Apply a small amount of glue to the back of a cut photo, and place it on the construction paper. Repeat the process until all the pictures have been laid out on the construction paper for the front and back covers.

    • 7

Apply glue to the back of the construction paper, and place the construction paper cover on the front and back of the photo album.

    • 8

Cover the construction paper album covers with clear plastic covers to protect your work and your pictures.
