How to Find 110 Film

Long before the micro-sized digital point and shoot cameras of today, if you wanted a small fit-in-your-pocket camera, you probably owned a 110mm film camera. These cameras were very thin, using 16mm film that was loaded into cartridges similar to 126mm film. These two film formats were most commonly used by amateur photographers. With the advent of digital photography, less and less film is being produced. If you need to buy 110mm film, there are a few places you can look.

Instructions

    • 1

Contact your local camera store. Begin with the larger chain stores and see if they have any old supply of 110mm film or if they know of any local photographer who may have old inventory. Independent photo stores are also a good point of contact. Let the retailers know that you are interested in buying the film and leave your contact information.

    • 2

Contact local university, community colleges and even high schools if they have a photography course. Ask if they have any old stock or if they are still using the film and where they source it from.

    • 3

Access the Internet and go to photography forum sites that cater to film photographers. There are a number of these sites on the Internet; two of the largest are APUG (Analogue Photography Users Group) and Rangefinder Forum. They may also have information about 110mm film.

    • 4

Post an online ad on the sites listed above and other film-based photography sites indicating you are interested in purchasing 110mm film.

    • 5

Contact Kodak and Fuji directly through their websites and see if they are still producing the film and if you can buy directly from them.
