Things You'll Need
Instructions
Set up your studio or photo location. If shooting inside, position your studio lights with two main lights at 45 degree angles to the location where the family will be positioned. When the family arrives, speak with them and discuss their objectives for the photo shoot.
Have the parents sit on the floor in a way that allows the upper half of their bodies to be close to each other. The can be sitting back to back, or slightly on their sides with their legs pointing away from them. This will create a nice strong center point for your portrait.
Position the twins. Where to position the children will depend on their age. If they are newborns, they will more than likely be in their parents' arms. If they are toddlers, they should be standing on either side of their parents. They can place one hand on their parents' shoulders or even slightly lean against them. If the twins are older, other props such as chairs, stools or benches can be used to create a visually pleasing portrait.
Attach your camera to a tripod, connect the sync cord for the studio lights to your camera and you are ready to start shooting.
